Lighter tonearm weight and neutral anti-skating works best. These records do not always play well on all turntables, especially cheap turntables without a weighted tonearm. These records are made by 70 year old machines and hand cut by a living breathing human in real time. We feel every record is listenable as long as you aren't expecting a pressed wax record made by a machine process. The quality will be different from record to record as each lathe has its own personality and sound to it. They are made from a material that was never supposed to be made into a record. Lathe cuts will always sound different from the master recording as the plastic reacts to some frequencies differently than others. Lathe cuts are not standard pressed records and do not sound like them, if you are after an audiophile record you will not achieve that with lathe cuts, however we are quite proud of how they sound and we are constantly working to improve sound quality. Lathe cuts tend to have a mixture of surface noise with a few pops and cracks that disappear with time, we have been working hard to eliminate most static and noise recently, and the sound is improving always. We are unable to add any modifications to the photos you’ve uploaded although we have made an instructional video on how you can do this yourself free of charge - just click here to watch it ! After placing an order it is highly likely we have already sent it to our in-house team for review, so unless there are very specific circumstances we typically do not allow this.
